It’s an 01 S ierra v6 2wd fleet truck, former home of a horrible looking rusty ladder rack that stained th e paint badly. 183k kilometers so about 110k miles. I work on fleet vehicles all the time and could tell this one wasn’t rode too hard. None of the usual broken chevy stuff is broken (except gate handle is on its way out. ) bought at auction as a non-ru nner by a friend of a friend, It had sat for 2.5 years and the battery was dead. They were cleaning it up when I stopped by. It was registered to me about 2 hours later.

Rubber floors, crank windows and the exact number of dents I like (some) it fits my need for a cheap truck that looks acceptable on the front street. I had been shopping 4 cyl trucks and looking at work-spec rangers, but a decent 4 cyl shorty ranger still goes for double-and a half or three times one of these. I got this at the going price of one of these, the difference being about half the miles and the bonus of not being completely destroyed. I got some pics of it clean, and it looks nice, I’m still going to have to compound the paint on the whole thing (It kind of has fallout embedded in the paint. cars parked between the steel mill and oil refinery are a special kind of dirty.) Got a new windshield last night and has a set of matching rims in the box. T here was a friend’s T acoma in the mix, but it’s too nice for the dirty, trucky stuff I do with trucks.

This one will pick up a half a ton of stuff, whilst playing my cassettes. Winner winner, popeyes chicken dinner.

Excellent truck you just picked up. I am biased, but the GMT-800 platform is fantastic. They are the best bargain is old truck s that are in good enough shape to do truck stuff reliably, while not being too nice or too expensive to do truck stuff in. I just replaced my tailgate latch. Still have the original handle bezel though :)

it came with a bezel, 8 rims and 8 centre caps, and a fuel pump it doesn’t need.

All the non-runners the guys got for scrap seem to run and drive so maybe they liquidated the wrong ones. Truck is really nice, I’m quite happy, smoking deal. came from a plumbing/heating company, was the only pickup in a fleet of 1 t on chevy vans.

I just bought a 1993 k 2500 pick up w/ v8 5spd for $1500 freedom bucks. But it has more miles and a couple interior pieces are dead. When I got it the bed floor was rusted out from a fertalizer hopper $40 patch panel and it’s good as new. The 350 feels really strong too. That 99-02 is the last good looking truck Chevy made

The last truck I bought was too nice to do truck stuff so I sold it and bought the new beater. N othing to see here white is the best color for a truck. This truck got compliments everywhere even though it was so plain, I do miss it a bit.

Good truck, it should truck well. The 2wd trucks are a great value because everyone thinks they need a 4wd.

Yup. I’ve been driving 2wd t rucks in Chicago for almost 20 years. I got stuck in the snow once.
